A research project initiated by Jin Sung

Anchor of Intellect

Greater intelligence. A fuller human life.

AI should help a doctor see evidence they might otherwise miss, a student discover a path they did not know existed, and each of us live more fully as ourselves.

The ambition is not to make people smaller beside increasingly capable machines. It is to widen what people can understand, create and choose.

Draft 0.1 · 18 October 2026

Anchor of Intellect is a long-term research project initiated by Jin Sung. It asks how deep understanding of a person, capable AI collaboration and dependable control can develop together.

An anchor, not a cage

Assistance should strengthen a person's ability to act, not quietly replace it. A choice is not meaningful if a system defines every acceptable answer, makes refusal costly or prevents someone from leaving.

The anchor is continuity: memory that can be examined, authority that can be limited, and a direction that can be changed.

Intelligence and control, advancing together

Better reasoning is part of the work. So are clear delegation, independent boundaries, timely protection and recovery when something goes wrong.

The project begins with a draft charter: a direction for research and a standard against which future work can be questioned. The architecture, evidence and remaining questions must grow alongside the ambition.

With greater intelligence, what kind of future do we want to build together?

Can that future protect what we cherish while expanding our freedom to choose a different path?
